5Great Product for FPS games
By Kobones
Ok so I wanted something to allow me to play my xbox 360 with a mouse. I did my research and it came down to two products. The Aimon XB Elite and the XIM3. Bottom line I choose the Aimon XB Elite because I'm not used to using a keyboard to move around and preferred the idea of using a Nunchuck with the mouse. I've always been a console gamer but there's no denying a mouse is more accurate then an analog controller. So here's my review. I suspect for most of you your experience with this product will be similar to mine. I had a lot of reservations about doing this and let me tell you the first time I hooked this thing up those reservations got WORSE! Being a console gamer I struggled with the controls something fierce "at first". And that's the key "Don't Give Up!". It won't take weeks but it will take several hours and maybe even a couple of days of some fine tuning. After about the first 2hrs. of this thing I was so frustrated I unplugged it and went back to my analog controller. But that's when the funniest thing happened, suddenly my analog controller felt "cluncky" and slower then hell! I realized that even though I was struggling with the Aimon controls I could aim and track my targets alot faster and with more accuracy. So I plugged the Aimon in for another test drive. I downloaded their new firmware for COD 8 and took my aimon online. It started out a little rough, my regular K/D ratio is a 1.3 and I was strugling to get an eye for an eye. However, if I was 1 on 1 with a guy I would rarely lose. So I knew it was just a matter of learning the controls (you know moving around faster, I could aim GREAT but I was too slow in the environment which made me an easy target!). Sure enough after a few hrs. I was getting better and better. Then finally I got to that sweet spot where I wasn't thinking about the controls I was just playing the game (all you gamers know what I'm saying here), I was in the zone! I'm telling you once you get a feel for the Nunchuck and mouse you can easily get a 2-1 K/D ratio. There's just one thing about the Aimon everyone should understand. This controller is made for FPS's and that's actually how it is advertised and why I gave it 5 stars. For BF3, COD 1-8 and Medal of Honor this things beast. But if you want it to play games like Gears of War, GOOD LUCK! I tried Gears 3 with this and it's very, VERY awkward. Now that's not to say it can't be done with some fine tuning but so far I can't get it to respond how I'd like. But again that's not the Aimon's strength. FPS's is where this thing really shines just make sure you have a decent gaming pad. I use the Rocketfish which you can buy for about $17.00 at Best Buy.

4Good product... takes some work
By yquesoyyo
So, I've been using my XB Elite for a few weeks now and I love it. It took some getting used to, but now a regular controller on an FPS game feels imprecise. The mouse is perfectly weighted in my opinion and the wand works just like you would like it to. Also, I was able to use my headset normally (by plugging into the controller that the XB was plugged into). There is a downside to the XB Elite and that is the support aspect. Mine came with a faulty firmware version and was not usable right out of the box on my Xbox. The firmware upgrade procedure consists of downloading the driver on a PC, then the correct setup software from the Tuact website. You then have to connect the dongle in setup mode, open the setup software, then apply new firmware (it searches automatically). This took me a while b/c the website isn't very intuitive. Initially I was trying to upgrade the firmware with the wrong version setup software... I was ready to throw the thing in the garbage. I think they attributed the wrong firmware version to a factory mistake. So, maybe if you buy one it won't have that problem... After understanding the process fully and getting the correct software installed, however, things are going great. The transition from the controller was a little jolting, but soon the controls became second nature. The way you can customize how the mouse reacts to movement is great. You can speed up the response or slow down the response by doing button combinations on the mouse (these are easy to find on tuact's website). You don't have to go into the setup utility to change some of these settings. There is a way you can make the mouse adapt to your specific mouse pad to make it ever more precise. My k/d ratio has improved significantly. I mainly got it to play Halo Reach on Xbox. I win most of my 1 on 1 encounters in the multiplayer now with headshots (no way I could have done that before). It gives you a very distinct advantage over other players. Maybe I shouldn't be advotating for it! If everyone got one, I would lose my advantage. So I am giving it 4 stars... I'm only taking 1 star away for the way they shipped it unusable out of the box (seriously, this sucked) and the initial setup confusion... Once I got the firmware updated and the mouse configured how I wanted it, I realized I could never play a competitive multiplayer FPS with a regular controller again... I highly recommend it!... Just be prepared in case you need to struggle with it a little to get it setup correctly..

2Pain to set up, input lag is terrible.
By E. casteel
The overall build quality of the product is fine, (not as high as the factory controllers) but the performance of the product itself it lousy. Before if can be used you have to download the driver's from Tuact's website which for some reason the download section of their website it painfully slow so downloads take forever. Then you have to download the setup software,(also slow). Then you have to update your firmware. Then you are ready to use the product.I wanted to use the controller to play xbox games and PC games like Crysis 3 and Battlefied. I hate using a keyboard so this product would seemingly fit my needs perfectly. However, PC games don't recognize this product as a game controller! It's recognized as a keyboard and mouse so you have to remap for every single game. I couldn't help but laugh when Crysis 3 asked me to hit enter to continue. There is no enter key on the controller! So I have to go grab my keyboard or remap in the options. When using this product for a PC game it should be recognized as a gamepad then you can remap from there if you wish. Finally, it came down to input lag. It worked fine on the xbox but if being used for the PC it stutters off and on and was particularly bad in Crysis 3. Returned product and until something better comes along I'll have to play FPS on PC with the standard Xbox controller although you'll be way behind anyone using a mouse/keyboard.
