4It's big and you can watch TV on it. What more can you ask?
By Marcos Palmeri
I've had this TV for a little over a year and so far I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. I read some bad reviews before I bought it and purchased the 4 year warranty, so I can't say I'm too worried even if something does happen. The picture quality is exactly what I would expect from a 32 inch CRT television. The sound is above average and the way the speakers are placed, there have been times I actually got a surround sound effect and had to look around to see where the sound was coming from. My only complaint about the TV is that it takes a little longer than the average TV to turn on. I timed it just now and it takes just under 10 seconds from the time you push the power button to the time you see the screen light up. It's kind of silly, but one of the reasons I bought this specific TV was for the Vport slot in the back that lets you connect your Xbox directly to the TV using only one cable, but then I never got around to buying the $30 Vport cable. Go figure... I recommend the TV and also recommend the 4 year warranty just in case the other reviewers are right :-).

2known QC issues
By E. K. Arnold
i bought this tv in 2005 from best buy. it worked fine at first, although it's big and bulky. but approximately six weeks after the extended warranty i purchased expired, the tv all of a sudden wouldn't power up. nothing. the green light just blinked on and off. i unplugged the power cord, waited about a 1/2 hour and tried again. this time a high-pitched whine came out of it, informing me that it was fried. i then went online to epinions (dot) com and found some reviews of the product. apparently, this happened to 9 out of 13 people -- a fairly high ratio -- some within six months. i then talked to the rca customer service rep, who denied this was a known issue with this tv. as if! if you get one, make sure you have an extended warranty because it can go at any moment, without warning. better yet, avoid RCA products altogether unless they get their QC together.

5For what it is, it's AWESOME!
By Peter D. Ayala
I bought this TV from Curcuit City in Virginia Beach, before the BB across the street finally put it out of business. That was in 2007. What a great set. It was my living room TV up until 2010, when we bought our first flat screen HDTV. Vizio. Never again. Now we have a Samsung Smartv. Never go back. Samsung makes a great tv. So far, so good. Anyway, this went into the guest room, where I do my ironing and my wife does her sewing. Needless to say, it gets used pretty regularly. It still looks and sounds great, like the day I bought it. Never blew out the speakers because it was and is connected to a SRS. Anyway, if you want a CRT that will still work 6 years later the same as it did on day 1, buy this tv. Refuse to upgrade it because its perfect. Downside is size and weight, if you weren't expecting it. I was, so it's not an issue for me. Great product, RCA!
