Product Description
The GC500 is a High Definition (HD) Video capture box with Component input and output (Loop Through). Also includes capture support through S-Video input source. Good low end capture card

Before i got this i was looking for a cheap capture card so i could record gameplay of when i play my Xbox 360 and PS3. I got this card while it was on sale and i am liking it so far for what i paid.First of all it does not record in HD, it only goes up to 720. Next the quality varies from game to game that i capture. I have never had bad quality but some games look much better than other games, for example Rock Band 3 looked very nice, while Dragon Age 2 only looked decent.Its very easy to hook up but it only has connections for Component and S video. I see no way to hook up composite cables, and you can not use HDMI with this device. Its easy to hook up though. Simply connect the cables included from video out to the tv, then connect your console or device to the video in, and then hook up the final cable from the end to the PC via USB, its very easy and has an easy diagram to follow.Finally the software included is easy to use and easy to install.Overall i am happy with the product for what i want. Just don't expect anything amazing from the device, and try to get it on sale.

I live in a loft with limited room, so I bought this as a way to watch television and play games on my monitor.I've been pretty happy with it. Installation of software and hardware were both exceptionally easy. It's very light and fits most anywhere. The software it comes with isn't the best, but it works very well for what I use it for.Pros: It looks good for what it is, there's no lag when I play it on my monitor, and I've yet to have any issues with it. The quality is better than most low-end capture cards I've tried. Like the E.Z. Cap or EasyCap or the EMVG one. I definitely recommend this to someone who doesn't want to spend all their money on a capture card.Cons: However, the "HD" isn't really HD. This card is capable of 460p and 460i, which are still standard definitions. However if you want to play a console like a Wii in the HD settings, it's fully capable - just don't expect it to look as pretty as on a regular television.

Seems like a quality product. Easy installation. 13 year old boy is using it to record Xbox gaming. I may use it to record some stuff I would like a digital copy of .
