5Works great
By N. Hughes
Purchased from Media and More Galore, which shipped very fast and provided good instructions that go well beyond what is included in the box. Build quality is decent, though the loose joystick on the back feels cheap (I don't use it anyhow). Works great with MAME and other emulator-based light gun games. Wireless connectivity works well, accuracy/calibration is decent, and the recoil is satisfying. Recommended for light gun game enthusiasts who want to play on an LCD display.

5Better than expected
By Top gun Shooter
I bought this gun from Media and More Galore and they shipped very quickly. I received it within 5 days. The gun works very well and better than expected. I bought it so that i can play PC games and it worked very well just like using a mouse. If you follow the directions from the seller and factory then you will be shooting it in no time. I played on my 42" Plasma TV and 22" Monitor without problems. I would like to give it 4 1/2 star if i could because the handle it quiet bulky because they had to make room for the battery and the gun is a bit heavier so I had to support with two hands after playing for a few minutes. It did not come with self install driver and you had to download from their website and install it manually which is ok. If you are using windows 7 then you will have to download a driver signature enforcement overrider because the driver is not electronically signed so windows 7 keeps disabling it. see this thread on their website (<...>) The recoil function and laser can be turned off but i was not able to turn the recoil back on (for now) but I don't mind. The joystick is cheap just like the reviewer before me wrote, but i never used it. I am guessing they are still developing the hardware and the software because this gun has the potential to do a lot more than advertised right now. I can't wait for them to update the driver and do more stuffs. I hope this helps. I am very happy with this product.

5Great Light Gun!!!
By McCreedy
Ems topgun 3Compatability:The EMS Top Gun 3 is a great way to relive some of the classic shooting games from the golden age of arcade gaming. I just want to start this review off by saying that I'm not really sure why people are giving this product bad ratings. It works very well with my Playstation 2 and original Xbox. I did have a little trouble at first getting the drivers to work on my pc, but if you use the instructions and the website that it refers you to then it shouldn't take too long to figure out. I'm not even a big computer geek, but I still managed to figure it out. I mainly use this gun with my consoles anyway on classic games such as Time Crisis 2,3,and crisis zone. Too bad it won't work with time crisis 1 (even when using on PS2 with it's backwards compatability). I think it has something to do with the difference in gun con 1 & gun con 2 technology. I also play the very underrated gem Vampire Night (probably my favorite PS2 shooter). There is also Ninja Assault, a notable game, but not as fun as the ones I've already mentioned. The only original Xbox game I've managed to dig up is The House of the Dead 3,which also has House of the Dead 2 as an unlockable game after you beat part 3. Both are good, but I have a soft spot for 2 so I played threw 3 really quick to get it unlocked. This game will play on an Xbox 360, but unfortunately the EMS Top Gun 3 doesn't work with the 360(like a few ads lead you to believe, but this is a mistake on the behalf of different websites, not EMS because it does not mention being compatible with 360). I also got the EMS Top Gun 3 to work with the model 2 emulator, but you really need a good pc to run that one,and it still seems to have a lot of bugs causing the games to minimize when your in the heat of battle. I also just want to add that I recently got the gun working with virtua cop 1&2 for pc(you have to download a patch called troubleshooter),and there is a bunch of old school laser games for pc that work. The only problem with pc games is that I Haven't quite figured out how to use two guns at one time. This seems to be a problem for model 2 emulator and Mame as well as original PC games. Two guns work flawlessly on my original Xbox and ps2 though.Calibration:It also seems that people are complaining about getting the EMS Top Gun 3 to calibrate correctly. To me this was very easy to get working. I think what most users fail to realize is that when using this with MAME you not only calibrate the gun for normal use, but you have to calibrate it within the roms on most games. You have to actually go in to the test menus or dipswitch menus and manually calibrate it just as you would with an actual standup arcade shooter. As I mentioned before I mainly use the gun with my PS2 & Xbox. To calibrate it you have to have power to the 4 small sensors by either plugging it into the wall or into the USB port of your tv, console, or pc.(doesn't come with an AC adapter so I just plug it into my tv or if your tv doesn't have a USB you could use your PS2 and leave it on standby when using with your pc or Xbox, or vice versa). Next, to avoid any problems, load the game first, and then plug the wireless receiver into the console of choice. Then all you have to do is stand back from your TV at least 2-3 feet(normal distance that you would have stood from the screen in the arcades),and do these steps in the following order. 1: turn the gun on and make sure both the gun and receiver are on the same channel(1or 2). 2: hold the gun away from the screen(I point toward the floor) and press and hold the A&B buttons until the gun laser turns on. 3: then aim the laser at the center of the upper left sensor and pull the trigger. The recoil should activate every time you pull the trigger if done correctly. If it doesn't then try backing up just a little more and try again. Once you get the recoil to click then you need to shoot in this order: the upper left boarder of the screen, the upper right boarder, the lower right boarder, then the lower left boarder. You should then see the cursor moving on screen with the gun movement. Even after I do this process I still go back into the game options and calibrate within the game.Check me out on youtube, bigmansavagedan81, and look at my 3 ems top gun videos for further calibration help. Please note that you can turn the laser and recoil on and off. I prefer off on both to save battery and make it more like an arcade experience.Overall:Overall I believe that this is a very good product. I got it online through a different marketplace from a company called media and more galore(you can email them at mediaandmoregalore@gmail.com ). There were reports from earlier guns that had faulty triggers in them. I actually ran into this on my first purchase, but the company I ordered it from replaced it immediately with no hassle, and I haven't had a problem since. The actual makers of the EMS Top Gun 3 also state that they know about the problem and are exchanging any of the older units that customers are having problems with. The recoil feature is cool, but after a while I started playing without it because I found it distracting and also wanted to save battery life(gun takes 4AA batteries which last quite a bit in my experience). It also seemed to get hung up every now and then, but I don't think it takes away from the gameplay at all if you turn it off so that's what I do(especially if you crank the volume on your tv for big gun blast sounds). I haven't tried any other wireless light gun so my opinion may not weigh very heavy with most, but my experience with the EMS Top Gun 3 has been very good. I just got my 2nd even newer model so I can play 2 player arcade action with my buddies. The new model has an orange tip because of federal laws, but if you order one then I would suggest asking for that one because that way you know you won't run into the trigger problem(besides I think that's the only one available now due to laws, the older one looked more like a real gun in all black).
