Really nice sound bar once I received a working one, the first one I received was used and broken. Was a real hassle to work through the return process and get a new one shipped.I wrote a letter about the used broken one and included it with the unit I returned but never heard anything.Good product bad experience.

5Better than a soundbar
By charles nall
Mine works well and I have no complaints. The other reviewer is correct about it resetting to default settings every time you turn it on. I got it from a company amazon owns on the cheap so I feel like I got a bargain.

Not the sound I expected from such a bulky soundbar but it sounds better than the so called stereo sound on the tv.

4Good display with some minor drawbacks
By Michael
Pros:Compared to my other 3D display (a DLP with active shutter glasses), viewing 3D content on this display is actually very pleasant. The image through the passive glasses is stable, and comfortable to look at, unlike the 60Hz flicker from my active shutter glasses, which tends to dazzle my eyes, and cause headaches. Also, unlike most active shutter glasses I've worn, which are bulky and pinch my head, causing pain after several hours, these glasses are light, and fit comfortably. Because there are no electronics in the glasses, they are also inexpensive to replace, and in a pinch, you can even use the cheap polarized ones from the movie theater.Cons:2D: The polarizing mask over every other row of pixels is faintly visible in 2D mode, causing a very subtle effect similar to an interlaced CRT, though not nearly as bad. Still, I would not recommend purchasing this display if you only intended to use it in 2D mode.3D: The polarizing filters in FPR displays, by design, send every odd row of pixels to your left eye, and every even row to your right eye, effectively blacking out half of your vertical resolution. Some claim that the information is still there, in that 540p plus 540p adds up to 1080p, but the effect is noticeable. I personally feel that the benefits of passive FPR displays outweigh the cons versus active shutter glasses, but it is by no means perfect.Other thoughts:If you intend to use this display for PC gaming in 3D: Use a DVI connection to the monitor, not HDMI, and in the bundled TriDef 3D software, open the TriDef 3D control panel and enable "Line Interlaced (1920x1080)" mode. It is listed under "Manufacturer: (standard display types)". The reason for this is that frame packed 3D over HDMI 1.4a at 1080p resolution is limited to 24 frames per second. This is meant for movies, and is far too low of a framerate for comfortable gaming. Selecting line interlaced mode will allow you to run at the monitor's native resolution, and still achieve 60 frames per second.

33d on the cheep
By Flyboy
This is my 2nd attempt into the 3d world, I had tried an Asus VG236H with the Nvdia kit that cost almost twice this monitor, it was a nice monitor, the 3d was ok but the gaming in 2d with the 120hz was awesome, sad to say it came with dead pixels out of the box, and saw that others had the same issue so I sent it back.So I gave the AOC a try, and I will say its ok for the most part, I think the 3d was even better than the Asus with the Nvida kit.Pros:3D blu-rays work well.Mafia 2, and the 2 recent batman games work really really well, better than the Asus with the Nvdia vision kit!Blur, MBL2k12, NFS-shift, CIV 5 and a hand full of others "work"Not bad 2d, games ok, text looks ok and easy to read.Cons:Trying to work the menu fuctions is a pain, but that goes with most LCDs these days.Refresh is a bit slow in some 2D games. The TriDef 3d software is very buggy, often says it can't work for a game, so I need to go into a game I know works all the time, and then I can go back into the game and it will work. When you close tridef, and play a game, it will sometimes still come up in 3d.. the only way to get the tri def to stop working is to reboot. The info says it comes with clip on glasses, but it does not, just 2 sets of full 3d glasses. All in all, with how well the nvidia games play, plus the 3d movies, I would say yes for the value this is a good way to enter the 3d world without breaking the bank.

5Excellent !!!!
By Raj
Amazon shipped this item in excellent condition. This AOC monitor is simply amazing. This was better than my expectations. 3D quality is amazing. Passive 3D is cool and can watch for hours together. Tridef software which comes with CD is older version, some 1.0.xx. You need to download the newer version from Tridef website which is 1.1.7, which renders the 2D to 3D far better then the previous version.

2One Thing to Ruin Them All: A D-Link DIR-685 Xtreme N Storage Router Review
By L. T. Beasimer
As a database administrator and programmer, I tend to enjoy tech toys. I have a D-Link DIR-825 Xtreme N Dual Band Gigabit Router sitting on my desk, and was excited to be offered the D-Link DIR-685 Xtreme N Storage Router as a more visually appealing and versatile router. The D-Link DIR-685 Xtreme N Storage Router offers high speed wired and wireless n connections. Wireless connections can be managed by zones including guest connections. Unlike most routers, the DIR-685 includes network-attached storage (NAS) capabilities and a digital picture frame. The initial set-up was simple to complete, however testing revealed the network didn't set up correctly. My PC can connect directly to the network, but cannot access any wireless networked devices even though I can ping them. I called customer support, only to be given the run around by people who didn't understand my problem. I asked my other half who is more familiar with networking to speak with customer service. This is when they admitted they didn't understand the problem and escalated to a specialist who would call back later. When the specialist called, the result was basically since I can ping the devices it's not a router problem. So I'm stuck with a network which doesn't work properly and have no clue how to fix.The router frequently freezes up and drops connections. Freezing is obvious thanks to the digital picture frame as the images just stop rotating. It is not uncommon for me to unplug the router three times a week or more to unfreeze. Meanwhile there is no telling when this unstable router will drop a connection. Since the router sits on my desk, it's easy enough to disconnect and reconnect the network cable, but I'm tired of listening to my other half's constant valid complaints. The digital frame is a nice touch; however it is way too small. For proper viewing the router would need to be pretty close to the viewer. This may cause a conflict between viewing and placing the router in an appropriate spot for wireless connectivity. Anyplace with too much distance makes the photos too small to distinguish.I really enjoy using the frame channel with the digital photo frame. Setting up an account at the frame channel website was simple. I was able to sign up for news, weather, sports, stocks, and magazine sites as well as images from my facebook friends. With the digital picture frame, the router includes an intuitive menu selection for showing stats and settings. The NAS drive (hard drive not included) was also simple to install and put to use.As a techno-geek I was excited to try out this router. However my network isn't working properly, while D-Link customer service was unwilling to help resolve the problem. The router freezes and drops connections regularly. If I weren't having connectivity and freezing issues, I'd be willing to invest more time determining the networking issue. This problem is huge for a router and overshadows the digital picture frame and NAS system. This router has potential to be a fun versatile device, but I cannot recommend purchasing an expensive product which fails at its primary purpose.PROS:Frame channelIntuitive on-board menu displayNAS (network-attached storage) systemCONS:Never got it to work properlyCustomer service not helpfulDigital frame too smallRegularly freezes and drops connections

1Tries too hard to be something it cannot be
By Gandalf
This is a very innovative product that does a lot of things. But unfortunately it does many of those things badly.First of all, it is a horrible router. You might have read other reviews on other respected "cool gear" sites that would testify otherwise, but hear me out. If you are using a broadband internet connection that is slower than 8MBits probably you cannot figure out what's wrong with the router. I have a 36MBits cable connection and this router can only utilize 8MBits of down traffic, while my old Linksys router (SRX400, doesn't even have gigabit ports) can easily max out my connection speed. I've run countless tests, upgraded D-Links firmware from 1.0 to 2.0 etc with no change in performance. So this router doesn't do one of its very essential functions well.Although I didn't have any problems connecting to its wireless network, I found it pointless to run any tests against it to see if it works fast enough. However Tom's Hardware actually reviewed this router and didn't find its wireless performance very promising compared to other routers at its price point. You can read the article here: [...].Another problem is the price/performance. At this price level almost any other N router out there have dual radios for better performance. DIR-685 does not have a dual radio, and it only operates at 2.4GHz.One thing I really liked about this router is its virtual USB capability. The router has two USB ports and you can plugin HDD or printers on these ports. When you install the driver software provided for MAC and PC, the driver attaches these devices to your computer as if they are directly attached to your computer via USB cable. This allows you to use the full capabilities of these devices. For example if you have a multifunction printer with scanner, you can scan documents wirelessly. Although this is good for printers, it is flawed when it comes to HDDs as the device cannot keep up with the bandwidth demands accessing a HDD can generate.I didn't even bother to test the picture frame capability. You can get a bigger size digital picture frame for about $49 that would do a better job.As I said earlier, DIR-685 does a lot of things but it doesn't do any particular thing well. Especially, it is not a good router which is suppose to be its first and foremost functionality.

4A Unique Product
By Raven A. Wind
Where to begin? This product is just so many things at once, that it's hard to be sure what parts are most important in a review! Perhaps the best thing to do is to first consider the D-Link DIR685 as a wireless router? Or perhaps as a NAS? Maybe as a digital photo frame? Or should I discuss the FrameChannel features?OK, first, as a router this is top-notch once you get it going. The LCD screen provides status, which is a nice feature, and as an 802.11n router, it's faster than you'll probably need. Connection can take some time, but the browser configuration panel is detailed, and really gives a lot of options; Many of which I may never need, but that just shows the range of use this thing has.Printer sharing on this is handled well via the SharePort utility. It installs easily and works as advertised. Very nice.As a NAS, or iTunes server, or any of the other uses related to the hard drive, it's decent. Once configured, the hard drive is readily accessible. Unfortunately, the fan that cools the hard drive is exceptionally loud; I thought I had a first-generation Xbox 360 in my room again! It was so loud, in fact, that I opted to skip the internal hard drive and have gone with connecting a drive externally via SharePort. Still, mounting the drive inside is as easy as sliding it in, and the device automatically mounts and detects the drive, even asking if you'd like to format it.As a digital photo frame, this is a bit small. It works very well, but you do lose some detail in your photos on the 3.2" LCD. I suppose it would be great for people who like a lot of family pictures in rotation, but for me it's not a hugely-desired feature. Using the associated software, you can sync up with just about any social site or online photo repository; Facebook, Photobucket, Flikr, etc. They're all here.Doing so requires setting up an account with FrameChannel, which is quite worth it. Once established, it will send data to your DIR685 that works similar to desktop widgets/gadgets. Weather, news, social networking, photos, stocks, or pretty much anything you'd want will cycle on the router's screen, making it kind of like a "smart clock". You can customize the timing, priority, and other details. It doesn't seem to hinder the device or slow things down at all, and most of the Frame Channels look very nice on the screen. The device itself has plain controls, but the on-screen menu works for basic functions; settings, status displays, etc.Mine came with a small defect in the screen border, though. The rubber gasket around the screen was bent down at the top and covered part of the screen, requiring me to peel off the cover panel (not recommended) and reposition it. Everything went back together fine, but I shouldn't have needed to do it in the first place, so I would urge D-Link to step up the quality control on the LCD screen.I should also note that the sticker on the back that is meant to prevent you from plugging things in before installing software is a real sticker and not a static-cling peel-away. It leaves gummy residue and peels off only with some effort. It's a bad choice for the function it fulfills. These are minor complaints, of course; Hardware-wise, this is an awesome device. It's definitely worth consideration if you're looking for an advanced router, NAS, and digital photo frame.PRO:Great router! High speeds!Easy connection, if you know what you're doing.Decent screen.FrameChannel works flawlessly, and is very useful.Controls are simple.Lots of advanced features.USB SharePorts work perfectly for printer & hard drive.CON:iTunes server/NAS works, but the hard drive fan is too loud.Quality control issues with LCD placement.Rear panel had a sticker which, when peeled, left gummy residue.LCD is a bit too small to be a perfect digital photo frame.FINAL VERDICT: A very cool device that fills several roles, and is certain to please those experienced with networking. Those who aren't as skilled with networking may need to seek a little help with installation and set-up, however, and this will not replace a digital photo frame in your grandma's living room. It's a router first, and a good one. Consider the other stuff the whipped cream and cherry on top.

4Not bad for the price
By csterl
I ordered two of these for my 09 Impala so the grandkids could watch movies on the 8 hour trip to and from their house. I paired it with a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT in the dash DVD player. Installation instructions are pretty much a joke, with poorly translated English which did provide me with a few laughs during installation. After this installation, I feel that I am an expert in DVD installation in the Impala: As on-line documentation on this install is non-existent, anyone with questions can comment to this post and I will be glad to help.Of the two units I received, one did not work out of the box. The problem was in the harness, as both monitors would work on one of them. Amazon sent a pre-paid mailing label to return it and I received the replacement in a couple of weeks. The replacement works great also. The first monitor has decent color for what it cost, but the replacement unit was a newer model with different controls and the colors were more accurate. The tan covering is darker than the neutral cloth interior in the impala, but not offensive. The zipper covers are really nice, as the units are concealed for the most part when not in-use. I have yet to get the speakers on the monitors to work, but that is probably an error on my part so I haven't deducted a point for that. Not a problem for me, as I use the car speakers when playing.FYI: these units come with TWO different sets of posts so they should fit the majority of vehicles, and the wiring goes through the post. These are two video inputs in the harness. I am stating this as I could not find this information before I purchased them. Although the same basic shape as the original ones, these headrests set back a little further than the original ones, which my wife prefers. The headrests swivel up and down for optimum viewing by all passengers, and a passenger in the middle should have no problem viewing them. The harness could be a little longer for some installs, as it was barely adequate for the Impala.Considering these monitors can be purchased for less than 200 bucks for the pair, I am pleased with them so far. If they do not hold up, I will update my post. Their video quality won't satisfy a videophile, but I am sure the kids won't complain and they will keep them entertained for long trips.

4Excellent display for the price!
By Boris Sheikman
I installed this in a '07 Hyundai Accent. This is about as big as you can get for a small car like that and it seems to match well. Anything bigger would have been gaudy. The A/V cable plugs into a shorter integrated cable in the headrest. You will need to thread the A/V cable up the seat, plug it into the headrest, and then install the headrest. The easiest way to do this is to use coat hanger wire to push some dental floss down the seat ("Dental floss??"). Once the dental floss is down the seat and on the floor of the car, thread the floss through the end of the cable. Yes, you will see two small molding holes in the connector. Thread the floss through these holes, tie off the floss, and pull the cable up. My headrest holes had zero clearance for the A/V cable and dental floss is thin enough to get through the gap. Connect the A/V cable to the integrated cable in the headrest and then push the headrest down. The manual is written in broken Chinese English. It's not hard to figure out how to use this display though.Adjusting the headrest poles is not easy. The manual's description sounds awful but it absolutely works. You will need to grab the poles in each of your hands and work them forward and backward. The manual calls this "walking the poles". Do this while squeezing them inward or pulling them outward. It is extremely awkward to do. I got the spacing right but the poles ended up being slightly off center by 1/2". No biggie. One neat thing about this display is that if you turn the car off momentarily with the monitor on then the monitor will turn back on when you turn the car back on. I suppose it recovers to its last known state? I haven't tested how long it retains this memory.Remember, this is a 9" screen. It's not meant for hi-def. It's meant to entertain a back seat passenger (i.e. a kid). My four and a half year old enjoyed watching his movie on this display. My video source was an iPad with the compositive A/V cable set. The audio was fed into my car stereo's aux input. If installation was a little less awkward then I would have given this a 5 star rating.

4very good for the price
By Adam Torres
I bought these for my 2002 yukon, they work great and look good even in the day time, what i like about them is that they have ir transmitter for cordless headphone and also a headphone jack. the headphone jack came in handy because my children kept leaving the wireless headphones on and wasting batteries. the screens look good and is pretty good quality, i am about to upgrade to a pair that has a built in dvd player, i will be sticking with the pyle name brand. i bought these almost 2 years ago and they are doing just fine haven't had any problems out of them.

5Best Thing since sliced bread
By Michael T. Wolfersberger
My boss was lookling to get a big screen for the conference room for presentations, etc. After looking at costs, I wanted to try and save a few bucks and looked at alternatives. I opted for a Infocus projector coupled with AVERTV Hybrid TVBOX. I am able to hook up my cable, VTC equipment and DVI output from the computer. The picture is flawless on all. Excellent detail for even the finest excel spreadsheet print. While the projector sound is tinny, I am planning to upgrade to stand alone speakers.Set-up was simple and seamless. PIP feature is great. It's all good. The only challenge was getting 50 feet of DVI cable and having it run behind the walls. Make sure you know what kind of connectors you are getting. Read a few help sites on DVI connectors.

3Does everything, even acts as space heater.
By Silva
I haven't experimented with everything but it works well for what I need it to do. After I bought my 42" TV I started using it as my pc monitor which left me with a perfectly fine 22" LCD monitor that was doing nothing. I wanted to find a way to watch TV on my 22" monitor while I was doing work on the PC so I bought this. I have it connected to the coax from the outside antenna. It scanned all my locals and am now watching digital channels on my monitor. ALL of the inputs will output through VGA and/or DVI (I only mention it because some of the reviews here made it sound like 'analog in' signals would ONLY output through VGA and 'digital in' signals would ONLY output through DVI.) I also bought this so I could connect my videogame consoles, and it works well for them too. If I change the display resolution on the console it'll automatically detect it, and display in that resolution, granted that your monitor supports the consoles resolution. On the negative side. This thing runs super hot! So hot that I'm afraid to set it next to anything. I place it sideways on it's stand in hopes that it'll better ventilate in that position. I don't keep anything that I feel might be flammable next to it. I don't know if this is true for all of these or just the one I got, but it caused me to knock a few stars off it's rating. The way I look at it is like this. This thing wasn't cheap, and I'd hate to be out this much money if the heat generated by this thing causes it to accidentally fry itself and die prematurely. If the heat issues happens to all of these units then it's definitely something they should've caught early and fixed. I have a hard time believing that they weren't aware of the heat problems before they started mass producing this product. So with that said it's either only mine that runs this hot, (in which case it would deserve 5 stars) or they all run this hot and then it deserves to have some stars knocked off.

5Awesome TV but you'll want a sound system
By M. Frank
After researching Bravia TVs, I decided to go ahead with this one since it is one of the newer releases for 2011. I'm glad I waited, as this TV is clearer and more vivid than those of some older models or rival brands. Picture quality is clear with no fog or motion blur. PS3 games and Netflix look absolutely amazing. The only thing this TV needs now is a sound system to broaden the audio experience. If you're having sound issues, try messing around with the 'steady sound' and 'clear voice' options to even things out and make them less muddy. In stores you may see this TV's picture slightly less bright than others, but that is because of the built in light sensor that's located on the front of the frame. The picture automatically adjusts to best fit it's surroundings, and that's what's truly great. No fussing with brightness settings all the time.Overall, worth every penny. Stick with Sony and you won't be disappointed.

5Sony - Simply The Best
By Robert N Victa
The SONY KBL32BX450 with high definition 1080p is an entry level model with outstanding picture quality. This is a highly recommended HDTV for you.I had researched purchasing HDTV for the bedroom and the SONY is better than the rest (LG, SAMSUNG, PANASONIC and budget models). You pay more for the SONY but you getting a SONY. It is worth the difference. Do not compromise. This is a new 2011 model with basic features. There is no Wifi, this is 60Hz and is not an LED TV (however picture quality compares to LED sets). There are only two HDMI ports that may not be enough for some people. The only "complaint" is the sound quality. You will need to adjust the bass/treble and use the equalizer in Custom Mode. It is the same issue that flat screen sets just don't have great speakers. Regardless, this is an excellent television. There are enough settings with options to calibrate and customize the picture to your liking. It is best to disable the ambient light sensor that restricts the brightness and vivid contrast of the picture. Once calibrated, the picture is awesome. The fleshtones are realistic. There is abundant contrast with the blacks are coal black and whites are bright white. The colors are vivid and vibrant. The set will require picture adjustment and calibration out of the box. Motion blur is almost non-existant for a 60Hz set.The features and specs of this set are well documented. You have a USB port to view pictures and videos. If you are very budget conscience then consider the SONY 720p model KDL32BX320. This is also a great set but you don't pay for the Full HD. If you won't do gaming or watch BluRay then this may be for you. If you are looking to install in your living room then look for a SONY with a larger screen.I purchased this from a store with special grand opening sale but wanted to post review for Amazon folks. I would typically buy from Amazon.

4Perhaps the best value for the money out there.
By Deacon Frost
For those seeing the 1 or 2 star reviews, do yourself a favor and ignore them as they address aspects of the TV that are common knowledge to anyone who has done their research and are flaws present when shopping for ANY TV of this type. This is doubly true for the speakers - if you're expecting a massive wall of sound from any TV's internal speakers then it's a wonder you were intelligent enough to type a review on Amazon. Now, on the the important stuff. From a presentation standpoint, the TV is understated and classy. The glossy black bezel is attractive in it's simplicity, with the only deviation of color being a thin strip (about 1cm) of dark gray at the bottom of the TV. The gray strip house the sensor bar and small power leds. This is a 'budget' TV, and with that classification aside, the image quality on this TV is amazing. After some careful calibration, the picture shows deep, dark blacks, vivid color, sharply honed detail, and extremely smooth motion.Despite having a lower refresh rate than higher-end sets, this TV gives fluid, artifact free motion - even in action scenes with lots of quick camera cuts. The image quality is on-par with much more expensive sets, and given the actual price of this set, the image quality alone makes this TV worth a buy. However, there are caveats and they present themselves most notably in the inputs - or should I say, the lack thereof. It's with the inputs where you realize where Sony skimped in order to deliver a set of this size at this price. You get 2 HDMI, 1 Component, 1 Composite, 1 Coaxial, Analog and Digital Audio inputs, a VGA, and a USB input. This input scenario posed problems for me, as I have far more devices than this TV can accommodate on it's own.I have 3 HDMI devices), 1 Component device, 2 Composite devices, and 2 coaxial devices. In order to hook everything up to this TV I had to purchase an HDMI switch, along with a composite splitter and a coaxial hub.Needless to say not everyone will have a plethora of video game consoles hooked up to their TV, but I do, and the lack of inputs made for one heck of wire mess behind my TV.However, my last TV had 3 HDMIs, 3 Components, 3 Composites, 2 S-Video, 2 Coaxial, Digital and Analog audio, and a DVI. So I could just be experiencing 'Input Shock' after having so many options. As an aside, the VGA input works well, and integrating the computer with this TV is quick and painless. The resolution is fine so long as you have a video card capable of supporting such a large picture, but that isn't really an issue unless you're using this TV to play PC games. In conclusion the 46bx420 is an excellent TV on it's own, and it's even better when you consider the image quality you're getting for the price. The lack of inputs is disappointing if unsurprising, but for the average user the available inputs will likely be more than enough. Again, the sound from the internal speakers is lacking but as I said, that's a no-brainer - you really should have a proper surround sound system hooked up to this TV if you're watching movies or HD media on it anyway. This TV is a great buy, and easily outperforms the competing models in it's class, and it does it for less to boot. Pick it up if you're in the market for a TV in this size - you won't be disappointed.
